Living in Gipsy Hill

Gipsy Hill is a green, elevated part of south London with views across the city. It’s close to the historic Crystal Palace Park, a Victorian pleasure garden that wasonce home to the lavish glass structure that gives it its name and today hosts the Crystal Palace Museum, along with woodland paths, fishing and boating lakes, and even a maze. From Gipsy Hill, you also have on your doorstep the Crystal Palace triangle, the vibrant heart of this area of London, with independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and pubs. Reliable rail links from Gipsy Hill station connect residents to London Bridge and Victoria in under 30 minutes, while buses serve the local area, making running errands, attending appointments, and socialising easy. Wide pavements, local parks, and a strong sense of community make Gipsy Hill feel calm, accessible, and well-suited to later life.

More reasons to choose Tiggo Care

Our packages are bespoke

At Tiggo Care we understand how precious your loved one is to you and how unique they are. We also appreciate how overwhelming it can be to research and source the most suitable type of care.

We fundamentally believe that there is no ‘one size fits all’ care package and like to work with you and your loved one to understand your specific requirements. We’ll then create a tailored care package and match your relative with their ideal carer.

We're fully regulated

Unlike some other care providers, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission. This means we are regularly inspected, rated and audited and ensures that we are a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led organisation, committed to delivering the best possible care.

We’re also proud members of the Homecare Association, the U.K’s membership body for home care providers, which holds organisations to a high set of standards and requests them to abide by a strict code of practice

Our carers are fully vetted & trained

At Tiggo Care, all our carers undergo a rigorous recruitment and induction process. They are fully vetted and background checked, with all references followed up. Our carers also undertake their training on the best eLearning system currently available within the UK care market, ensuring they are well placed to deliver the best possible service. Specialist training courses such as moving and handling, medications and basic life support are also completed by our carers face to face, as we feel these courses are more effective when delivered in person.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can home care in Gipsy Hill support daily life at home?

With our home care services in Gipsy Hill, you can receive care in familiar surroundings instead of moving into a care home, which many people find disruptive. Your home care plan may include personal care, daily activity support, and help with routines and appointments, while meeting standards set by the Care Quality Commission. This type of domiciliary care often improves wellbeing, independence, and overall quality of life.

What types of support are available through live-in care services?

Our live-in care services in Gipsy Hill offer continuous support from carers who stay in your home and adapt their support around your needs. Live-in care can benefit people living with dementia, mental health conditions, motor neuron disease, or multiple sclerosis, where familiarity and routine matter. Care is tailored to a broad range of needs, helping clients stay stable and comfortable.

Will I have a regular carer supporting me in Gipsy Hill?

Having a regular carer builds trust and consistency, which many families value highly. A stable care arrangement supports the individual’s wellbeing, personal interests, and everyday routines, so visits don’t feel rushed or unfamiliar. We’re proud to serve the local community in Gipsy Hill and across London and believe that continuity helps us deliver the highest quality support.

Are carers familiar with the Gipsy Hill area and surroundings?

Our carers bring strong local knowledge of Gipsy Hill and South London, and its services. This familiarity with the local community helps with travel planning, understanding the local community, and supporting social routines or a job where appropriate. Choosing from home care services in Gipsy Hill means care is shaped around local life, not removed from it.
