What's happening in and around Regent's Park

The AUKW Flâneur Walk

We recommend the AUKW Flâneur Walk, a gentle and social way to enjoy the beauty of Regent’s Park. The word “flâneur” once meant to wander without purpose, but here it’s given a new meaning as a chance to walk slowly, take in nature, and boost well-being. This walk is designed with slower walkers in mind, including people living with health conditions or mobility challenges.

The route begins at St. Andrew’s Gate on Regent’s Park Outer Circle, passes through the English Gardens, continues by the Ready Money Drinking Fountain, and ends at the Broad Walk Café. It’s a relaxed way to connect with others and enjoy the outdoors. To register, please contact Tija Hubej, Age UK Westminster Fit4Life Coordinator, on 07462 361232 or email enquiries@ageukwestminster.org.uk.

Digital Inclusion Service

We suggest exploring Age UK Westminster’s Digital Inclusion Service, designed for residents aged 50+ who want to feel more confident using smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Friendly group sessions, known as iTea parties, and one-to-one support are available, making it easier to learn in a way that suits different needs.

The service helps older adults connect with local services, shop online, use Zoom for virtual activities, and stay in touch with loved ones through email or video calls. Becoming more digitally connected can reduce feelings of isolation while improving well-being. Monthly drop-in sessions are also available for anyone with their own device who would like personal guidance. To register, contact Souad Abdellaoui on 07903 255384 or email souad.abdellaoui@ageukwestminster.org.uk.

More reasons to choose Tiggo Care

Our packages are bespoke

At Tiggo Care we understand how precious your loved one is to you and how unique they are. We also appreciate how overwhelming it can be to research and source the most suitable type of care.

We fundamentally believe that there is no ‘one size fits all’ care package and like to work with you and your loved one to understand your specific requirements. We’ll then create a tailored care package and match your relative with their ideal carer.

We're fully regulated

Unlike some other care providers, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission. This means we are regularly inspected, rated and audited and ensures that we are a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led organisation, committed to delivering the best possible care.

We’re also proud members of the Homecare Association, the U.K’s membership body for home care providers, which holds organisations to a high set of standards and requests them to abide by a strict code of practice

Our carers are fully vetted & trained

At Tiggo Care, all our carers undergo a rigorous recruitment and induction process. They are fully vetted and background checked, with all references followed up. Our carers also undertake their training on the best eLearning system currently available within the UK care market, ensuring they are well placed to deliver the best possible service. Specialist training courses such as moving and handling, medications and basic life support are also completed by our carers face to face, as we feel these courses are more effective when delivered in person.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do live-in care services in Regent's Park support daily life?

With live-in care in Regent's Park, a carefully selected live-in carer can offer round-the-clock help so you or your loved one feels safe and supported at home. From companionship care to personal routines, meals, and sharing treasured memories, every part of daily life is considered. A dedicated care manager will build personalised care plans to ensure the benefits of staying at home are maximised. You’ll also gain access to our social care professionals, who understand your local community and can provide the right support as care needs change.

What types of night care in Regent's Park are available?

You can choose between waking nights, where a live-in carer stays awake to give one-to-one support throughout the night, or sleeping nights, where they rest but are ready if needed. This means you or your family have peace of mind knowing someone is close by if an emergency happens. Night care in Regent's Park is flexible and can adapt to both long-term and short-term care needs. It’s also a cost-effective way to receive a high level of support without leaving your own home.

Can I arrange respite care or short-term live-in support?

Yes, you can arrange care for short stays, such as when a family member or private carer needs a break. In these cases, we can provide live-in care for a week or two, with a dedicated care manager ensuring all routines are followed. This allows you or your loved one to continue receiving live-in care with minimal disruption. Our social care professionals have the local knowledge to make the transition smooth, so you can feel proud knowing the job is being done properly.

What are the benefits of arranging care at home instead of moving into a care home?

Choosing home care in Regent's Park means you or your loved one can remain in familiar surroundings, close to the local community and everything that makes life special. It offers control over routines, comfort, and companionship care, whilst avoiding the disruption of moving to a nursing home or care home. Families also value that our services are overseen by the Care Quality Commission, ensuring a high level of care quality. Staying at home allows for continuity of routine, independence, and the reassurance of support from trusted social care professionals.
