Specialist training courses such as moving and handling, medications and basic life support are also completed by our carers face to face, as we feel these courses are more effective when delivered in person.

What is the maximum number of hours a live-in care assistant can work?

Live-in care is when one person lives in the same household as another person 24/7 but provides care services only for the amount of time specified in the Daily Average Agreement. Usually, this is between 40-45 hours per week but depends on the individual.

When does a live-in care assistant take breaks?

A live-in care assistant is entitled to take breaks of 2 hours each day. These breaks can be taken back-to-back on an individual day if it is more convenient.
