Are you looking for Mobility Home Care In London?

Mobility home care is for anyone living with reduced mobility who needs some extra help at home with day-to-day tasks.

Mobility issues are common as we age, especially as we also tend to become less active as we age, and with reduced mobility, you may find some tasks start to become more challenging, such as attending appointments or getting dressed. Tiggo Care can provide carers to help you with the tasks you’re finding difficult. Contact us today to find out more about our service and to discuss your specific care needs.

What Is A Mobility Impairment?

There are an estimated 7.5 million people in the UK living with a mobility impairment. That’s almost 1 in 10 people in the UK, most of whom are over 65.

Broadly speaking a mobility impairment affects movements ranging from walking to the manipulation of objects by the hand. Mobility impairments are caused by many different medical conditions but the most common causes are:

  • Age
  • Reduced activity
  • Arthritis
  • Diabetes
  • Stroke
  • Congenital conditions

A Day In The Life With Ana

“One of my favourite things about my job is the conversations I have with my clients. They all have interesting lives and I love to hear their stories. Sometimes we go out for a coffee or for a walk in the local park and sometimes we stay at home and chat.”

The Benefits of Mobility Home Care

The main benefit of organising some extra help from a professional home care assistant is that they can support you to do any tasks that you’re finding difficult. We’ll create a bespoke care plan with you that clearly outlines these tasks so carers can encourage you to do the tasks you want to do rather than automatically doing them for you. Likewise, the care plan can also highlight any tasks you want your carer to do on your behalf without asking you what you want doing next.

The second biggest benefit of mobility home care is carers can encourage you to remain active. Remaining active is the best way to improve your mobility and to prevent mobility impairments from deteriorating. Our carers are trained to support people with mobility impairments to stay active in a safe manner. Therefore, there is no need to be scared of falling when our carers are supporting you.

More reasons to choose Tiggo Care

Our Care packages are bespoke

At Tiggo Care we understand how precious your loved one is to you and how unique they are. We also appreciate how overwhelming it can be to research and source the most suitable type of care.

We fundamentally believe that there is no ‘one size fits all’ care package and like to work with you and your loved one to understand your specific requirements. We’ll then create a tailored care package and match your relative with their ideal carer.

We're fully regulated

Unlike some other care providers, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission. This means we are regularly inspected, rated and audited to ensure we are a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led organisation, committed to delivering the best possible care.

We’re also proud members of the Homecare Association, the U.K’s membership body for home care providers, which holds organisations to a high set of standards and requests them to abide by a strict code of practice

Our carers are fully vetted & trained

At Tiggo Care, all of our carers undergo a rigorous recruitment and induction process. They are fully vetted and background checked, with all references followed up. Our carers undertake their training on the best eLearning system currently available within the UK care market, ensuring they are well placed to deliver the best possible service. Specialist training courses such as moving and handling, medications and basic life support are also completed by our carers face to face, as we feel these courses are more effective when delivered in person.
